Model 2371 EI-DVI UV/VIS Single Beam Spectrophotometer:

Overview:

The Model 2371 EI-DVI UV-VIS Spectrophotometer is a robust, solid-state instrument leveraging microprocessor technology for quick and accurate spectrophotometric analysis across various concentrations. Designed for high accuracy and reproducibility, this single beam spectrophotometer operates across a wavelength range of 200 nm to 1000 nm. It is an essential benchtop tool for any modern laboratory or research facility, providing reliable measurements in %Transmission, Absorbance, and Concentration modes.

Advanced Features and Usability:

The Model 2371 enhances user experience and instrument longevity through smart design and interface features:
High-Resolution Display: Results are easy to read and monitor via a large 128 x 64 Dots Graphical LCD. This display also allows users to view the standard curve directly on-screen.
Intuitive Control: The system uses Soft Touch Membrane Keys for easy operation.
Automated Setting: The instrument features Auto Wavelength Setting functionality.
Optimised Light Source Management: The instrument utilizes Tungsten and Deuterium Lamps as the light source. These lamps can be turned ON/OFF individually to help extend their lifespan. Furthermore, a pre-aligned design simplifies the process of changing lamps.
Flexible Sample Handling: The standard sample compartment includes a 4-Position 10 mm path-length cuvette holder. The compartment is also large enough to accommodate path-length cuvettes ranging from 5 mm up to 100 mm with the use of optional holders.

Performance and Reliability:

Built on an optical system featuring a Single Beam design and a Grating of 1200 lines/mm, the Model 2371 delivers precise measurements essential for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Wavelength Accuracy is maintained at ±0.5 nm, with a high Wavelength Repeatability of 0.4 nm.
Photometric Accuracy is specified at ±0.5 %T or 0.003 A at 1A.
High Stability: The instrument maintains high photometric stability of ± 0.002 A/h at 500 nm, ensuring reliable results over time.
Detection: Measurements are captured using a reliable Silicon Photodiode detector.

Connectivity and Software:

The spectrophotometer offers extensive connectivity options for data management and external control:
PC Connectivity: A USB Port is integrated for connecting the instrument to a computer. Application Software is available to provide complete control of the instrument from the PC.
Printing: A Parallel Port (Centronics Interface) is provided for attachment of any dot matrix printer.
Software Options: The basic PC software is supplied with the instrument for quantitative and kinetic analysis modes. Professional PC software is available as an optional add-on, extending functionality to include wavelength scanning and DNA/Protein analysis.
