Model 1901 Microprocessor Tablet Disintegration Apparatus:
Overview and Application:
The Model 1901 is a solid-state Microprocessor Disintegration Test Apparatus designed for the accurate estimation of tablet disintegration time. This instrument is highly useful for the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in quality control labs and R&D departments. It determines compliance with the disintegration requirements for both Tablets and Capsules, adhering strictly to USP and IP specifications. The apparatus utilizes the latest microprocessor technology and advanced engineering techniques to ensure enhanced accuracy and reproducibility in testing.
Advanced Testing Capabilities:
The instrument is built to handle robust testing schedules, capable of simultaneously testing two batches of six tablets. The system employs user-friendly prompts to guide the operator throughout the entire measurement process.
Key operational features include:
• Compliant Movement: Baskets 'UP' and 'DOWN' movement is precisely controlled as per IP/USP Specifications.
• Heating System: A sturdy acrylic water bath is equipped with a large, spread-out stainless steel heater to ensure perfectly uniform heating.
• Temperature Monitoring: It features a dual-channel temperature system with sensors to monitor the test temperature of the disintegration beaker and the water bath temperature. The temperature is accurately maintained at ± 0.2 °C.
• Intuitive Interface: The system utilizes a 20 x 4 Line Alphanumeric LCD display with Backlit and a 15 soft touch membrane key panel, including a full numeric keypad for convenient data entry.
Data Management and Storage:
The Model 1901 is equipped with extensive data storage capabilities essential for regulated environments.
• Sample Storage: The unit has storage facility for 200 samples. Samples analyzed are automatically stored in memory tagged with different batch and sample numbers.
• Test Setups: Provision is made for 20 different test setups, which are retained in the memory even when the system is switched off.
• Indicators and Alerts: Audio Visual Indicators provide system status. Four LEDs are available for specific status indications, including Run, Alarm, End, and Heater On/Off status.
• Printing Facility: The instrument offers provision for the attachment of any dot matrix printer using a centronics parallel port interface, allowing any stored results or setups to be printed.
