Product Overview:

The Microprocessor Dissolution Test Apparatus is a robust, solid state instrument designed for determining the active drug ingredient within pharmaceutical formulations, such as tablets or capsules. This system is essential for quality control (QC) and Research & Development (R&D) laboratories in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring compliance with both Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP) specifications. It provides necessary information for evaluating adequate bio-availability and formulating therapeutically optimum dosage forms.

Advanced Technology and User Interface:

This instrument utilizes the latest microprocessor technology and advanced engineering techniques to deliver enhanced accuracy and reproducibility in dissolution testing.
Intuitive Interface: The system features user-friendly prompts that guide operators through the entire measurement process. Data entry and interaction are managed via 19 soft touch membrane type keys.
Clear Display: The apparatus is equipped with a large 20 x 4 Line alphanumeric LCD display complemented by a backlit screen for visibility.
Operational Ease: Independent soft keys located on the front panel allow users to easily start or stop stirrer movement or control the displacement of the platform at any point during testing.

Precision Control and Programmability:

The apparatus offers flexible operation and comprehensive data management capabilities suitable for varied testing requirements.
Station Options: The instrument is available in two models: Model 1918, which features 8 stations, and Model 1916, which features 6 stations. Both models comply with USP and IP standards.
Programmable Stirrer: Stirrer speed is accurately controlled and maintained by a microcontroller. It is programmable within a range of 25 to 200 RPM, with an accuracy of ±1 RPM, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Motorized Accessibility: The motorized platform (stirrer unit) features up/down movement, significantly improving the accessibility required for manual sampling.
Power Failure Protection: The instrument includes a continuation feature that retains the elapsed time for the current ongoing test and resumes the last sample run in the event of a power failure.
Multiple Modes: Three programming modes are available: Routine, Sustain, and Control. The system facilitates the setting up of 20 different test methods using the Routine and Sustain modes, which are retained in memory even when the power is switched off.
Data Storage: The apparatus has the capacity to store 200 samples automatically under different batch and sample numbers.

Temperature Management:

The apparatus is built with a sturdy acrylic water bath designed for effective thermal control.
Uniform Heating: A large, spread out stainless steel heater is incorporated to ensure perfectly uniform heating throughout the water bath.
Dual Channel Monitoring: The instrument features a dual channel temperature system that utilizes sensors to simultaneously monitor the test temperature of the dissolution vessel and the temperature of the surrounding water bath.
System Status Indicators: Four LEDs provide clear audiovisual indicators for system status, including Test status (Run, Alarm, End) and the heater on/off status.
Data Output and Physical Features
Printing Facility: Provision has been made for the attachment of any dot matrix printer via a centronics parallel port interface, allowing users to print stored setups and results.
Maintenance: The water bath features bottom drainage, making it easy to empty and clean.
