Heating System and Uniformity:
The heating mechanism centers around a silicon oil-bath beaker of approximately 200 ml capacity. This bath is fitted with a special oil immersion heater and covered with a Teflon or Ptfe cover. To ensure optimal thermal performance, the unit includes an in-built magnetic stirrer designed to provide uniform heating throughout the silicon oil-bath.
An electronic controller with an indicator allows the user to precisely adjust the rate of heating of the oil-bath. The heating system is managed via a High/Low range temperature selector switch.

4. The ‘Clear’ switch is used to reset the display to zero before the next test.
Sample Observation:
The apparatus is engineered to facilitate easy and strain-free observation of the sample capillaries during testing. It includes a large magnifier combined with a glare-free background illuminator.
The oil-bath cover is designed with three holes specifically for holding the capillaries, one hole for the boiling point tube, and one hole for a thermometer.
