Product Overview:
The Lutron Model DT-2236 is a multi-function digital tachometer that utilizes a world-patented design combining the capabilities of both a Photo Tachometer (non-contact RPM measurement) and a Contact Tachometer (measuring RPM, meters/min, and feet/min). This versatile instrument is built for high accuracy and fast sampling time, making it an ideal tool for measuring the rotational speed of shafts, motors, wheels, and other rotating objects. Certified with ISO-9001, CE, and IEC1010 standards, the DT-2236 assures high quality and reliable performance.
 
Measurement Versatility and Precision:
The DT-2236 offers an exceptionally wide measuring range, capable of detecting speeds from 0.5 up to 100,000 RPM. It achieves high precision with an accuracy of .
For non-contact measurement (Photo Tach.), the instrument measures RPM across a range of 5 to 99,999 RPM. When used as a Contact Tachometer, it measures RPM from 0.5 to 19,999 RPM, and surface speeds up to 1,999.9 m/min or 6,560 ft/min. The device features a high resolution of 0.1 RPM for measured values below 1,000 RPM.
 
Advanced Operational Features:
The tachometer employs an exclusive one-chip MICRO-COMPUTER LSI circuit and a quartz crystal time base, ensuring highly accurate measurements and fast response times. It includes an automatic memory function that automatically stores the last measured value, the maximum value, and the minimum value. These stored values can be recalled easily by pressing the MEMORY CALL button.
 
Durable Design and Display:
The DT-2236 is housed in a strong, lightweight ABS plastic cabinet, ensuring durable, almost maintenance-free performance for many years. The housing has been carefully shaped to fit comfortably in either hand. Readouts are displayed on a highly visible, five-digit LCD display (10 mm / 0.4" size), which provides the RPM reading exactly, without guessing or errors, while also helping to conserve battery energy. The unit operates on four standard 1.5V AA batteries.
