Product Description: Melting and Boiling Point Apparatus SKY-1296 and 1297 The Melting / Boiling Point Apparatus SKY-1296 is a Microprocessor Controlled instrument suitable for determining the melting and boiling points of both dark coloured and any coloured samples. It features selectable ramp rate heating and includes a built-in motorized stirrer with variable speed control for uniform temperature within the cylindrical silicon oil bath. The silicon oil bath has a capacity of approximately 200 ml and is covered with a Teflon top that has provisions for three capillaries and one 6mm test tube. The apparatus offers front and rear glare-free illumination and a large magnifier for clear observation of the melting operation. The melting or boiling point reading can be held by activating the "HOLD" key. It also has a USB to PC serial interface and can store 100 samples with location.
