

ADVANCE BCM-D Digital Bomb Calorimeter
Product Introduction
The ADVANCE Bomb Calorimeter Model BCM-D is a robust, user-friendly instrument designed to accurately determine the heat of organic matter, calorific value, and sulphur content in a wide range of materials, including solids, liquids, food products, animal feeds, bagasse, husk, petrol, and diesel. The system operates on the Isothermal principle, adhering to fundamental standards such as BIS 1350 (Part-II) and IP - 12/63T.
The operational method involves igniting a sample in a high-pressure oxygen charged vessel (the BOMB), which is immersed in water within a Copper Calorimeter Vessel. The heat generated during combustion transfers to the water, and the resulting temperature increase is noted accurately, allowing for the calculation of the Calorific value and Heat of Combustion.
Key Features and Construction
The BCM-D model is engineered for high mechanical standards and easy controls, ensuring accurate, reliable, and user-friendly operation. The instrument features a Digital Temperature Indicator with Timer for precise monitoring of the testing process.
Both the Outer Jacket and the Inner Vessel are constructed from high-quality Chromium Plated Copper, designed for durability and optimal performance. The Bomb and Bucket components are removable for ease of handling. For user safety, the BCM-D is equipped with a Safety Relief Valve.
Innovative Gas Filling System
The ADVANCE BCM-D incorporates an extremely easy to use Push Fit type Gas Filling System, a design noted as a first time in India introduction. This advanced system greatly reduces the chances of damaging the costly Gas Filling Valve and eliminates the need for cumbersome Copper Gas Filling Tubes by using a latest design Stainless Steel braided Teflon Hose. This system significantly reduces the time taken for Oxygen charging to less than 3 minutes.
Testing and Performance
The BCM-D provides a measurement range of 1000-10000 Cal/gm. The temperature is measured with a high resolution of 0.01°C. The main testing time required for the instrument is approximately 10-15 minutes, with the recommended working temperature ranging from 10-30°C. Note that the BCM-D is specifically the Digital model, which does not provide a printout feature.
