The Model BCM IM Integrated Micro Controller Based Digital Bomb Calorimeter, manufactured by Advance Research Instruments Company, represents the latest generation in the isothermal Bomb Calorimeter series. This state-of-the-art instrument provides an accurate, simple, and cost-effective method for determining the calorific value (CV), heat of combustion, and sulphur content of various combustible materials, including solids and liquids. It features a unique integrated platform design that houses all essential parts and components, which previously required manual assembly, thus streamlining the experimental process. The BCM IM is recognized for its compact design, precision, and reliability in operation.
 
Key Operational Features and Design
 
The BCM IM is built on high-accuracy ARM Micro-controller based electronics, ensuring high stability and improved performance. It operates on the Isothermal Principle, measuring the heat released during combustion at constant volume, which equates to the change in internal energy of the sample.
 
Integrated Platform and Convenience The system utilizes the Latest Integrated Platform design, eliminating the requirement to assemble individual parts before each use. This results in a faster and more user-friendly experience.
 
Precision Temperature Measurement The hardware includes an ultra-stable temperature sensor, offering a high-temperature resolution of 0.001 °C or 0.01 °C. Readings are displayed on a Large LCD Display.
 
Advanced Automation The calorimeter provides step-by-step experiment guidance and features options for Auto Experiment Start, Auto Fire, and Auto Stop functions. The powerful software performs fully automatic calculations and auto result calculation for calorific value and water equivalent, removing manual calculation errors.
 
Dual Zone Monitoring The instrument is equipped with Dual Zone Temperature measurement, including a second temperature sensor in the Outer Jacket to monitor its temperature.

Combustion Bomb Design The model features a New Schrader Valve free design Combustion Bomb, addressing issues associated with traditional valve types. The bomb body and lid are machined from corrosion-resistant Stainless Steel (Austenitic Steel) to handle high pressures.
 
Push Fit Gas Filling The system utilizes an extremely easy-to-use Push Fit type Gas Filling System, simplifying the oxygen filling procedure. Oxygen filling is semi-automatic.
 
Enhanced Safety A Safety Relief Valve is introduced in the Gas Filling Adaptor to ensure user safety against accidental oxygen overfill.
 
Vessel Materials Both the fixed Calorimeter Jacket and the Inner Vessel are constructed from durable, Electroplated Copper.
