The Hanna HI-98129 Combo pH/Conductivity/TDS Tester is an innovative, lightweight, and waterproof handheld unit designed to simplify your routine water quality measurements. This highly accurate device offers pH, low range Electrical Conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), and temperature measurements all in one compact unit, eliminating the need to switch between multiple meters. Its robust design ensures it will float if accidentally dropped in a sample, guaranteeing durability even in demanding environments.
Key Features
• Multi-Sensor Functionality: Equipped with three sensors in a single meter – a pH electrode with an extractable junction, an amperometric EC/TDS sensor, and an exposed temperature probe for rapid EC/TDS readings.
• Waterproof and Floating Design: Built to withstand humid environments and designed to float, providing reassurance if dropped in water.
• Replaceable pH Electrode: Features an easy-to-replace pH electrode cartridge (HI73127 included) with an extendable cloth junction, which helps to increase electrode life and ensures the tester does not need to be discarded when the pH sensor is exhausted. The sturdy, snap-in connector means there are no pins to bend or break.
• Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC): All pH, EC, and TDS readings are automatically temperature compensated to prevent temperature-related variations, ensuring highly accurate results. Temperature can be displayed in either Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
• Selectable EC to TDS Conversion Factor: Users can choose between a 0.45 or 1.0 conversion factor for EC/TDS readings, as well as adjust the temperature compensation coefficient β (BETA).
• User-Friendly Interface: Features an easy-to-read LCD display, a HOLD button to freeze readings for easy recording, and a stability indicator (clock tag) that disappears when a stable reading is achieved.
• Intelligent Battery Management: Includes a Battery Error Prevention System (BEPS) that automatically shuts off the meter if there isn't enough power for accurate measurements. It also displays the battery percentage level at startup and features a low battery indicator when the level drops below 5%.
• Automatic Shut-off: The auto-off feature automatically turns off the meter after 8 minutes of non-use to maximise battery life.

The HI-98129 incorporates sophisticated components to ensure superior performance. Its high accuracy EC/TDS graphite probe is designed to provide greater accuracy because it cannot be contaminated by salt deposits in the solution. The exposed temperature sensor enables fast response times and guarantees highly accurate temperature-compensated readings for all parameters.
