Superior Design & Technology
Crafted for reliability and ease of use, the HI-98130 features a compact and waterproof casing that is designed to float if accidentally dropped, ensuring its durability in various environments. The meter boasts a large, easy-to-read dual-level LCD that simultaneously displays pH or EC/TDS readings along with the temperature.
A key technological advantage is the Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) for all pH and EC/TDS readings, which prevents temperature-related variations in your measurements, ensuring high accuracy. The exposed temperature sensor also provides fast response times.
Advanced Sensor Technology
The HI-98130 incorporates three sensors in a single meter:
• Replaceable pH Electrode Cartridge: Features an extendable cloth junction that helps to increase the electrode's lifespan. This design means you don't need to discard the entire tester when the pH sensor is exhausted; simply replace the cartridge. The sturdy, snap-in connector eliminates concerns about bent or broken pins.
• High Accuracy EC/TDS Graphite Probe: Provides superior accuracy because it is resistant to contamination from salt deposits in the solution.
User-Friendly Features
The meter is packed with features for convenient and reliable operation:
• Stability Indicator: A clock tag on the LCD disappears when the reading has achieved stability, ensuring accurate measurements.
• HOLD Button: Freezes the reading on the display, allowing for easy recording of measurements.
• Battery Error Prevention System (BEPS): Automatically shuts off the meter if there isn't enough power to ensure accurate measurements, preventing erroneous readings.
• Low Battery Indicator: A blinking battery symbol alerts the user when battery level drops below 5%.
• Automatic Shut-Off: Maximises battery life by turning off the meter after 8 minutes of non-use.
• Selectable EC to TDS Conversion Factor: Users can choose between a 0.45 or 1.0 conversion factor.
• Adjustable Temperature Compensation Coefficient (β): The β value is adjustable from 0.0 to 2.4% / °C.
• Auto 1 or 2-Point pH Calibration: Uses two sets of standard buffers (pH 4.01/7.01/10.01 or 4.01/6.86/9.18).
• Auto 1-Point EC/TDS Calibration: Streamlines the calibration process.
• Rubberised Keyboard: Provides a tactile grip for easier testing.
