Measurement Capabilities
This refractometer is capable of determining both the refractive index (nD) and the sugar content in liquids. Its functionality extends beyond simple liquids, allowing for the determination of the refractive index and sugar content in dispersions, emulsions, and other translucent substances, as well as semi-transparent solids.
A key function of the 2WAJ-T is its ability to determine the Average color dispersion NF-NC of transparent and semi-transparent liquid or solid samples.
The instrument utilizes a divided scale indicator to present readings: the upper part of the scale shows the % Brix (sugar content), while the lower part displays the refractive index (nD).
Key Features and Temperature Control
The 2WAJ-T model features a built-in light source and includes a Digital Thermometer. This adaptable thermometer enables the determination of the refractive index across a broad temperature range, from 0 ºC up to + 70 ºC.
For applications requiring precise temperature stability, the device allows for temperature control. This is achieved by connecting an external thermostat, utilizing the incorporated water tube adapters located in the upper and lower prisms.
