High Precision Measurement The gauge is designed with high accuracy and high repeatability, making it suitable for demanding industrial applications. It measures both tension and compression forces, known generally as push and pull measurements, as well as normal force. The device boasts a wide measuring capacity of 20.00 Kg, which can also be displayed in 44.10 LB or 196.10 Newton.
Data Capture and Display The FG-5020 features a large 5-digit LCD display with a 16 mm digit size, complemented by a backlight function for enhanced readability. A crucial function is the Peak Hold capability, which freezes the display value to show the maximum load applied during a measurement. Users can select between three display units: g, oz, and Newton.
Optimised Operation Operational flexibility is built in with options for selecting positive or reverse display direction via a front-panel push button. The device also includes a control button for choosing between Fast (approx. 0.2 second) or Slow (approx. 0.6 second) response times. The full capacity zero (tare) control capability allows for easy calibration, and the zero button can be operated for both normal measuring and peak hold operation.
Connectivity and Durability Equipped with an RS-232 computer interface, the FG-5020 allows for serial data output, facilitating integration with computer systems for data logging and recording (optional software available). The instrument is powered by six 1.5 V AA size batteries or an optional DC 9V adapter input. Built-in features include overload protection (up to a maximum capacity of 30 kg) and a low battery indicator, ensuring durability and prolonged battery life.
