Operating Mechanism:
 
The Model 1381 operates by aspirating the sample solution through an axial flow type automiser. The sample, combined with dry oil free air and fuel (LPG), is mixed in a mixing chamber. This mixture is then sprayed into the flame as a very fine mist. The concentration of elements present causes a change in the color of the flame.
Radiations emitted from the flame pass through the sensing system and a specific narrow band interference filter, allowing only the characteristic radiation of the element being measured to reach the photo-detector (Silicon Photodiode). The resulting output from the photo-detector is then processed by the internal microcontroller, and the final results are displayed digitally.
