Working Principle (Scott Volumeter Method):
 
The PF 922 operates based on the Scott Volumeter principle to ensure consistent, loose material packing for reliable apparent density determination.
1. Material Introduction: Powder is poured through the top stainless steel conical funnel.
2. Flow Conditioning: The material then cascades over a series of inclined plates housed within the stainless steel baffle box. This cascading action achieves a highly dispersed, loose condition for the powder, simulating handling conditions.
3. Collection: The conditioned powder fills the standardized glass density cup located directly below the baffle system.
4. Density Measurement: Excess powder is carefully removed using the specialized spatula, ensuring no compaction occurs. The filled cup is weighed, and the bulk density is calculated from the measured mass and the standardized volume of the cup.
