High-Accuracy Measurement The SL-4030 is equipped with an electric condenser microphone for high accuracy and long-term stability in its measurements. Its acoustic performance characteristics meet the requirements of IEC 61672 class 2 standards, ensuring quality and dependability. The meter offers a broad measurement frequency range, from 31.5 Hz up to 8,000 Hz.
Versatile Weighting and Response The device includes both 'A' and 'C' frequency weighting networks, allowing users to select the measurement characteristic most appropriate for the assessment. The 'A weighting' network simulates the response curve of the human ear, while the 'C weighting' is also available for specific analysis. Additionally, it offers selectable 'Fast' and 'Slow' time weighting dynamic characteristic modes, simulating the human ear response time (Fast, t=200 ms) or simplifying the acquisition of average values for fluctuating noise levels (Slow).
User-Friendly Design Featuring a large LCD display, the meter is easy to read, even in bright ambient light conditions. It includes a MAX. HOLD function to freeze and store the maximum measured value, as well as a warning indicator that alerts the user when measurements fall outside the over or under load range. Its small, lightweight design and durable ABS-plastic housing case allow for comfortable, one-hand operation. The meter also includes a built-in external calibration adjustment (VR) for easy field calibration at the 94 dB level using a screwdriver.
