ATAGO MERA PAL Digital Handheld Pocket Refractometer:
The ATAGO MERA PAL is a Digital Handheld Pocket Refractometer manufactured in Japan, designed for quick and precise Brix measurements in a variety of samples. It measures Brix levels ranging from 0.0 to 53.0%. This instrument is highly durable, featuring an extremely water-resistant IP65 rating, allowing it to be washed under running water. The MERA PAL is part of the PAL series, which is known for its ergonomic, palm-fitting design for comfort and ease of use, even supporting single-handed operation. ATAGO products, including the MERA PAL, comply with HACCP, GMP, and GLP system standards.

Unparalleled Accuracy and Reliability The MERA PAL ensures accurate readings even in challenging environments. It incorporates Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) across a range of 10 to 100°C, guaranteeing consistent results regardless of temperature fluctuations. A key technological advancement is the revolutionary new External Light Interference (ELI) feature (Patented). The ELI function detects when intense direct light is interfering with the prism and alerts the user, ensuring measurement accuracy, especially when used outdoors.
Durable and Hygienic Design Designed for portability and toughness, the MERA PAL is rated IP65 water resistant, meaning it can be thoroughly cleaned under running water. The innovative design makes it easy to pour out and remove samples while making it difficult to spill. The instrument is also designed to float if accidentally dropped in water. The prism is made of highly durable optical glass to prevent scratching.
Rapid, Simple Operation Measurement is exceptionally fast, requiring only about 3 seconds to display the measurement value and the prism temperature. Only a small sample volume of 2 to 3 drops (at least 0.3mL) is needed for accurate analysis. The digital measurement values displayed on the LCD are large and easy to read, along with indicators for temperature and battery life.

Measurement Method:
