Brookfield Model LVDV1M Digital Viscometer (TC, PJ, Type D Cord)
Overview
The Brookfield AMETEK LVDV1M is a high-performance digital viscometer designed specifically for measuring low-viscosity fluids with exceptional precision and ease. As a mid-range model in the DV1 series, it offers a perfect balance between sophisticated data collection and user-friendly operation. This model is engineered for Quality Control (Q/C) applications where accurate, repeatable viscosity data is essential for maintaining product standards.
Precision and Accuracy
Built upon the proven rotational viscometry principle, the LVDV1M measures a fluid’s resistance to flow by driving a spindle through a calibrated beryllium copper spring. It provides a viscosity accuracy of ±1.0% of the full-scale range in use and a repeatability of ±0.2%, ensuring that results remain consistent across different laboratory environments and operators.
Advanced User Interface
The instrument features a large, clear monochromatic graphical display and a simplified keypad. The inclusion of "Hot Keys" allows operators to quickly access critical functions such as spindle selection, speed adjustment, and test options. The interface supports multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, and Chinese, making it a versatile tool for global laboratory operations.
Integrated Features: TC and PJ
- Temperature Control (TC): This model is configured to accept an integrated RTD temperature probe. This allows for real-time monitoring of the sample temperature during viscosity testing, ensuring that measurements are taken under controlled conditions—a critical factor since viscosity is highly temperature-dependent.
- Printer Jack (PJ): The LVDV1M comes equipped with a dedicated printer jack, enabling direct connection to a DYMO Label Writer 450 Turbo printer. This feature allows for immediate printing of test data, including actual test time, spindle code, speed, viscosity, and temperature, simplifying the documentation process for GLP compliance.
Durable Construction and Indian Market Compatibility
Designed for long-term reliability, the unit includes stainless steel spindles and a sturdy Model G laboratory stand. Specifically tailored for the Indian market, this version includes a Type D Cord, ensuring seamless compatibility with local 230V mains power outlets without the need for additional adapters.
Software Integration
For labs requiring advanced analysis, the LVDV1M is fully compatible with Wingather SQ software. Connection via the USB B port allows for automated data collection, graphing, and mathematical analysis of multi-speed test results, transforming the viscometer into a comprehensive rheological tool.
