EI-DVI Model 3305 Visible Digital Spectrophotometer:
The Model 3305 Visible Spectrophotometer is a highly economical, reliable, rugged, and accurate analytical instrument. Designed as a solid-state, microcontroller-based device, it is engineered for quick and accurate spectrophotometric analysis of any concentration. Utilizing advanced engineering techniques and the latest microprocessor technology, the instrument provides enhanced accuracy and reproducibility for laboratory applications.
Core Technology and Operation:
This instrument operates across the visible light spectrum and beyond, specifically covering a wavelength range of 340 nm to 1020 nm.
The core measurement principle allows the user to obtain results directly on a digital display in four formats:
• Percent Transmission (%T).
• Absorbance (Abs.).
• Concentration (Conc.).
• KFactor.
The Model 3305 employs a Czerny-Turner (CT) grating monochromator with 1200 lines per millimeter (mm) to achieve precise wavelength selection. The system uses an imported tungsten lamp as its light source.
Key Features:
• Ease of Use: The system includes four soft-touch membrane type keys for straightforward operation. It features a dedicated ‘Mode’ key for easily switching between operating modes (%T, Abs., Conc.).
• Automatic Calibration: Facility for automatic setting of zero / blank is provided, along with an auto light door.
• Sample Handling: The instrument includes a large sample room capable of accommodating a 50 mm cuvette. It is equipped with a 4-Position rapid cuvette changer (Test Tube Holder) selector.
• Digital Readout: The measuring value is presented on a digital display. The display modes utilize 4 LCD segments, and the output is also available on a 4-Digit seven segment bright red LED display.
Connectivity:
The Model 3305 offers options for data output and computer interface:
• Provision is made for PC connectivity through a USB port.
• Provision for attachment of any dot matrix printer using a Centronics interface is included.
• An RS232C Interface is optionally available.
