Product Overview
The Kerro Digital Rotational Viscometer is a sophisticated instrument specifically engineered to measure the viscosity of fluids under varied flow conditions. Utilizing a high-performance stepping motor and advanced driver technology, this viscometer ensures smooth and accurate rotation of the spindle within a liquid sample. By measuring the torque required to rotate the spindle against the liquid’s viscous resistance, the device provides precise viscosity data displayed directly on a clear LCD screen. This model is ideal for laboratories requiring reliable, repeatable measurements in accordance with international standards.
Key Features
- Stepping Motor Technology: Equipped with a high-performance stepping motor for accurate, reliable, and smooth operation without vibration.
- Direct Readout: Features a clear LCD interface that provides a direct readout of all measurement parameters, including viscosity (mPa.s/cP), rotation speed, and torque percentage.
- Auto-Range Display: Automatically shows the maximum measurable viscosity for any selected combination of spindle and speed, assisting users in optimizing test conditions.
- Alarm System: Built-in safety features include a sound alarm that triggers when the torque is outside the optimal range (typically under 20% or over 90%), ensuring measurement validity.
- Linear Calibration: High-precision linear calibration ensures that the instrument maintains accuracy across its entire measurement range.
- Time Function: Includes a preset timing function for automatic measurements, which is particularly useful for analyzing non-Newtonian fluids.
Wide Range of Applications
The Kerro Digital Viscometer is a versatile tool used across a broad spectrum of industries to evaluate product consistency, quality, and performance. Common applications include:
- Food & Beverage: Dairy products, juices, sauces, and syrups.
- Pharmaceuticals: Liquid medications, ointments, and polymer solutions.
- Chemicals: Adhesives (solvent-based), latex, and biochemical products.
- Coatings: Paints, inks, solvents, and industrial coatings.
- Cosmetics: Lotions, creams, and gels.
