Digital Nephelometer Model 341 (EI-DVI):
Product Overview:
The Model 341 Digital Nephelometer is a highly reliable instrument manufactured by Electronics India (EI-DVI), specifically engineered for the precise measurement of suspensions in liquids. This instrument is critical for monitoring water clarity, which is extremely important for products destined for human consumption, such as drinking water, beverages, and food products. The device ensures that minimum limits of turbidity are observed in processes like drinking water and sewage disposals.
Measurement Technology and Features:
The Model 341 functions as a Nephelometer, utilizing the 90° scattered light method to accurately quantify turbidity (cloudiness) caused by suspended particles.
Key Operational Features:
• Reliable and Accurate Results: Engineered to provide dependable measurements.
• Detection Principle: Measures the light reflected at a right angle (90°) to the focused light beam by the particles in the solution.
• Clear Digital Display: Results are presented on a bright, visible 3½ Digit 7-Segment LED display.
• Robust Components: The instrument employs a Photodiode/Photocell detector to capture and amplify the scattered light signals. The light source may utilize a powerful 6V Tungsten Lamp.
Essential Applications:
This digital nephelometer is an essential tool across various scientific, industrial, and regulatory environments:
• Water Treatment Facilities: Crucial for quality monitoring in drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring compliance and safety standards are met.
• Industrial Quality Control: Used in industries manufacturing beverages and food products where suspension-free water is necessary.
• Laboratory Analysis: Ideal for complex analytical tasks involving general chemical solutions and environmental testing where accurate assessment of particle content is needed.
