DVI Model Jar Test Apparatus (2 Stirrer, MS Body, SS Spindle)
Precision Flocculation Analysis
The DVI Model Jar Test Apparatus, also known as a Flocculator or Multiple Spindle Stirrer, is a critical laboratory instrument specifically engineered for the accurate determination of optimum chemical dosing in water and wastewater treatment processes. This 2-stirrer capacity unit allows laboratory tests to replicate coagulation and flocculation processes, providing essential data for full-scale treatment plants. Its robust construction featuring a Mild Steel (MS) body and Stainless Steel (SS) spindles ensures durability and reliable performance in laboratory environments.
Key Applications
This digital flocculator is indispensable for research and operational use across various sectors involving water quality management and chemical treatment:
• Water Treatment Plants: Used to correctly estimate the optimal dosage of coagulants, such as alum, required for water treatment.
• Sewage and Effluent Treatment Plants (STP/ETP): Simulates the flocculation and sedimentation process for calculating total chemical requirements.
• R&D Laboratories and Universities: Essential instrument for water treatment research, coagulation studies, and evaluating coagulant performance at different pH values.
• Industrial Complexes and Housing Societies: Supports water quality control in facilities managing their own water supply or wastewater.
Features and Benefits
Optimised Testing and Observation
• Two Stirring Positions: Optimized for simultaneous and uniform stirring of up to two test samples.
• Floc Formation Visibility: Equipped with a built-in fluorescent tube and a diffuse acrylic plastic plate at the base, providing effective glare-free, cold light illumination to help users accurately observe the formation and settling of flock samples.
• Digital Control: Features a digital RPM indicator and an electronic speed regulator for accurate and stable speed control.
• Integrated Timer: Digital timer facilitates precise control over testing duration, allowing for reproducible results based on mixing time.
Durable Construction and Maintenance
• Mild Steel (MS) Body: The exterior body is robustly fabricated from Mild Steel material and finished with a powder coating for aesthetic appeal, durability, and protection.
• Stainless Steel (SS) Stirring Spindles: Stirring paddles and rods are made of rust-proof Stainless Steel, ensuring strong resistance to chemical corrosion during testing.
• Adjustable Stirring Height: Stirring rods come with adjustable spacers or locking knobs, permitting easy adjustment of the paddle height as per test requirements, without disturbing other components.
• DC Motor Drive: Fitted with a DC motor, ensuring variable speed capability and low noise operation.
