Garmin Foretrex 601 – Rugged GPS Navigation for Your Adventures
The Garmin Foretrex 601 is a high-performance, wrist-mounted GPS navigator designed to withstand the most extreme outdoor environments. Built to military standards, this robust device is the ultimate companion for hikers, hunters, mountaineers, and military professionals who require reliable, hands-free navigation. Whether you are navigating dense forests or scaling rugged peaks, the Foretrex 601 ensures you stay on course with precision and ease.
Multi-GNSS Support for Superior Accuracy
Never lose your way again. The Foretrex 601 goes beyond standard GPS by supporting GLONASS and Galileo satellite systems. This multi-GNSS capability allows the device to track your position in more challenging environments than GPS alone, providing reliable navigation even in deep canyons or under heavy tree cover.
Military-Grade Durability
Engineered to endure, the Foretrex 601 is constructed to U.S. military standards (MIL-STD-810G). It is designed to be thermal, shock, and water-resistant, ensuring it remains functional in the harshest conditions. The device features a high-resolution, 2-inch monochrome display that is easy to read in various lighting conditions and is fully compatible with night vision goggles.
Advanced Navigation Sensors
Equipped with a comprehensive suite of sensors, the Foretrex 601 helps you maintain total situational awareness. It includes:
• 3-Axis Accelerometer: Tracks movement even when stationary.
• 3-Axis Compass: Provides an accurate heading while you are on the move or standing still.
• Barometric Altimeter: Monitors changes in pressure to provide accurate elevation data and track weather trends.
Extended Battery Life and Smart Connectivity
Stay out longer without worry. The Foretrex 601 offers an impressive battery life of up to 48 hours in navigation mode and up to 1 week in UltraTrac™ mode. For those using it as a daily timepiece, it can last up to 1 month in watch mode. Additionally, when paired with a compatible smartphone, you can receive smart notifications—including emails, texts, and alerts—directly on your wrist.
Customizable Adventure Planning
Take control of your journey by adding custom maps, waypoints, and routes. The device also supports Garmin Connect™, allowing you to track your activities, share data with the community, and plan your next expedition with confidence.
