Lutron FG-20KG Digital Force Gauge:
Product Overview:
The Lutron Model FG-20KG Electronic Digital Force Gauge is a high-quality, handheld measuring instrument engineered for precision force analysis. It is designed to measure both tension (pull) and compression (push) forces in various industrial, laboratory, and quality control applications. The device features a wide capacity of 20 Kg, offering high resolution and accuracy, along with excellent repeatability for reliable testing. The Force Gauge utilizes a dedicated microprocessor circuit and an exclusive load cell transducer to ensure precise and consistent measurements. It provides versatile measurement capabilities, allowing the user to select from three different units for display.
Key Performance Features:
• Tension and Compression Capability: Accurately measures force applied in both directions (push and pull).
• Unit Selectability: Supports three primary units of measurement: Kilogram (Kg), Pound (LB), and Newton.
• Peak Hold Function: The meter can capture and maintain the highest applied force (Maximum load) on the display until the function is manually reset.
• Full Capacity Control: Offers full capacity zero (tare) capability, enhancing measurement flexibility.
• Display Versatility: Features a large 5-digit LCD screen for clear readings. The display direction can be reversed for easy viewing from multiple angles.
• Response Time: Users can select between Fast (approx. 0.2 second) and Slow (approx. 0.6 second) response times depending on the testing requirements.
• Durability and Protection: Incorporates overload protection, capable of handling a maximum load of 30 kg.
• Design and Mounting: Designed for convenient handheld operation but also includes mounting holes on the back case for easy installation onto a professional test stand (optional accessory).
• Connectivity: Equipped with an RS-232 computer interface for data output (optional).
Applications:
The FG-20KG Electronic Digital Force Gauge is an essential tool for Quality Control (QC) and Research and Development (R&D) across numerous sectors. Typical applications include testing in the Electronics and Automotive industries, performing Spring and Mechanical tests, verifying quality in Medical and Pharmaceutical fields, and ensuring standards in Food Safety and Packaging.
The instrument is complete with a variety of accessories, including a hook adapter for tension measurement, flat-head, cone head, and chisel head adapters for compression, a 120 mm extension rod, and a carrying case.
