Product Description: Lutron Model FG-5100 Force Gauge:
The Lutron FG-5100 Force Gauge is a high-grade digital measuring instrument designed for precise industrial applications. This robust, hand-held device accurately measures both tension (pull) and compression (push) forces up to a wide capacity of 100 Kg. As a key tool for material testing, quality control, research and development, and product testing, the FG-5100 offers high resolution, high accuracy, and excellent repeatability. The unit combines an exclusive microprocessor LSI circuit and a load cell transducer for superior performance.
Key Features:
• Dual Function Measurement: Accurately measures tension and compression (push & pull) forces, along with normal force.
• High Capacity: Offers a wide measurement capacity of 100 Kg / 220 LB / 980 Newton.
• Peak Hold Function: Includes a peak hold feature that freezes and holds the maximum load value during tension or compression measurement.
• User-Selectable Units: Supports measurement and display in three kinds of units: Kg, LB (Pounds), and Newton.
• Advanced Display: Features a large 5-digit LCD display (16 mm digit size) equipped with a backlight for clear and easy reading, even in varying light conditions.
• Display Orientation Control: Allows for positive or reverse display direction selection via a push button on the front panel.
• Data Connectivity: Built-in RS-232 serial computer interface enables connection to a PC for data output.
• Operation Control: Includes a Zero button for normal measuring and "peak hold" operation, offering full capacity zero (tare) control capability.
• Durable and Portable: Designed for hand-held use, but mounting holes are provided on the back case for easy stand mounting, such as on a professional test stand (optional).
• Protection and Efficiency: Features over load protection (Max. 150 kg) and a built-in low battery indicator, coupled with low power consumption for long battery life.
• Response Time: Features Fast (Approx. 0.2 second) and Slow (Approx. 0.6 second) response time push buttons.
