Lutron GCH-2018 CO2 Meter – Multi-Parameter Environmental Monitoring System
The Lutron GCH-2018 CO2 Meter is a professional-grade, multi-parameter monitoring instrument precision-engineered for critical air quality evaluation. Operating under verified ISO-9001 quality management and fully CE certified to meet IEC1010 safety standards, this diagnostic analyzer provides simultaneous verification of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations, relative humidity (% RH), air temperature, and automatically calculated dew point values.
At the center of its high-accuracy performance is advanced NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) measurement technology. Unlike standard electrochemical sensors prone to drifted values over time, NDIR provides exceptionally stable, repeatable carbon dioxide monitoring across a wide range from 0 to 4,000 ppm. This ensures industrial hygiene safety compliance and reliable verification metrics for HVAC engineers, greenhouse operators, laboratories, and educational institutions.
The GCH-2018 is structurally optimized with an innovative dual probe system. By decoupling the CO2/Temperature sensor from the rapid-response Humidity/Temperature/Dew Point probe, the instrument eliminates cross-interference between parameters. This unique configuration makes it an ideal fit for complex Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) audits, industrial safety monitoring, and commercial building management systems.
Equipped with a large, high-contrast S-TN LCD display for immediate field visibility, the meter incorporates a configurable CO2 alarm system, maximum/minimum data recall logs, and integrated RS232 / USB computer interface. This enables seamless technical data transfer and automated logging analysis when paired with digital software platforms, while its rugged hard carrying case delivers superior protection during daily field operation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the advantage of NDIR technology in the Lutron GCH-2018 CO2 Meter?
The Lutron GCH-2018 utilizes advanced NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared) technology to provide stable, long-term carbon dioxide monitoring. Unlike standard sensors, NDIR optical measurements prevent reading drift over time, guaranteeing consistent accuracy (±40 ppm at ≤1,000 ppm) for critical indoor air quality and HVAC calibration audits.
How does the dual probe system benefit indoor air quality testing?
The GCH-2018 incorporates an intelligent dual probe configuration, separating the CO2/Temperature probe from the Humidity/Temperature/Dew Point probe. This specialized physical architecture eliminates sensor cross-interference, ensuring pristine sample reading isolates and remarkably fast relative humidity tracking responses within 10 to 30 seconds.
Can the Lutron GCH-2018 log and export carbon dioxide data to a PC?
Yes, this multi-parameter diagnostic device features an integrated RS232 serial output for direct PC connectivity. By pairing the meter with optional USB wands and dedicated software, quality control inspectors can easily transfer real-time measurements, perform advanced environmental analytics, and archive records.
Does this environmental meter include a warning alert for high CO2 levels?
The Lutron GCH-2018 includes a fully configurable CO2 alarm function. Industrial safety officers can program custom threshold alert limits, prompting the handheld device to trigger automated alerts immediately if stagnant indoor air, ventilation failures, or hazardous carbon dioxide accumulations occur.
