Unlock Peak Plant Health with the Bluelab pH and Conductivity Starter Pack
The Bluelab pH and Conductivity Starter Pack provides everything you need to accurately test and manage your hydroponic grow solution. Designed for both new and experienced growers, this comprehensive kit takes the guesswork out of maintaining optimal water conditions, ensuring your plants receive the nutrients they need to thrive. Bluelab is renowned as a top-of-the-line brand when it comes to testing water for hydroponics.
Why Accurate Measurements Matter
For successful hydroponic cultivation, monitoring your water's pH and nutrient levels (conductivity) is paramount.
• pH Level: The acidity or alkalinity in your water directly impacts your plants' ability to absorb essential nutrients. If the pH is too high or too low, your plants may not uptake nutrients, which can lead to issues like burning lettuces or killing off tomatoes.
• Conductivity (EC/PPM): The conductivity pen specifically tests the nutrient levels in your solution, providing readings in both EC and PPM conversions. This is crucial for precise nutrient control.
• Water Temperature: The temperature of your water is also important, as it can affect your plants' ability to absorb nutrients if it's too hot or too cold.
The Bluelab Starter Pack equips you with precision tools to keep these critical parameters in perfect balance.
Included in Your Starter Pack
This essential kit combines two of Bluelab's top-of-the-line handheld meters, along with necessary care products:
• Bluelab pH Pen: A robust and accurate meter for measuring pH and temperature.
• Bluelab Conductivity Pen: Your reliable tool for measuring electrical conductivity (EC) and parts per million (PPM) of nutrients.
• Bluelab pH Probe Cleaner: Helps maintain the accuracy and longevity of your pH probe.
• Bluelab Conductivity Probe Cleaner: Essential for keeping your EC probe clean and functional.
• Bluelab pH Calibration Solutions (pH 7.0 & pH 4.0): For quick and precise two-point calibration of your pH pen.
• Bluelab EC Calibration Solution (EC 2.77): For maintaining the accuracy of your conductivity pen.
• Probe Storage Solution: To keep your probes wet and ready for use in their caps.
• Plastic Sample Cups: Convenient for dipping your pens during testing and calibration.
• Cleaning Brush (for pH Probe): A small, travel-toothbrush-like brush for gentle cleaning of the pH probe.
• Cleaning Brush (for EC Probe): A specialized brush designed for cleaning the conductivity probe.
Key Features & Benefits
Bluelab pH Pen
• Truly Waterproof Design: This pH pen is totally waterproof, meaning it not only floats if accidentally dropped but can also be fully submerged without causing damage to its electronic readings or batteries.
• Automatic Shut-Off: Features an automatic off button to help save battery life if you step away from your measurements.
• Standard AAA Battery: Conveniently uses one standard AAA battery, making replacements readily available.
• Built for Durability: Constructed to withstand daily abuse, including being dropped or banged, making it a reliable tool for any environment.
• Integrated Temperature Reading: The pH pen also provides a temperature reading, offering a more complete understanding of your water conditions.
• Effortless Two-Point Calibration: Calibration is straightforward with instructions printed directly on the back of the unit. It uses two points (pH 7.0 and pH 4.0) and a checkmark appears to confirm successful calibration.
Bluelab Conductivity Pen
• Immediate Readings: The Bluelab Conductivity Pen is ready to use without extensive calibration, providing instant nutrient (EC/PPM) readings.
• Reliable Nutrient Control: Designed for accurate nutrient measurement, which is vital for preventing plant stress from too high or too low nutrient concentrations.
• Durable Construction: Like the pH pen, it is built tough to withstand the rigours of horticultural use.
