Frequently Asked Questions
Can the ThermoPro TX-7B remote sensor be used as a standalone device?
No, the ThermoPro TX-7B additional outdoor sensor cannot be used alone. It is designed purely as an expansion accessory and must be paired with the ThermoPro TP260B or TP280B indoor/outdoor base station monitors to read out environmental metrics.
What is the maximum remote transmission range of the ThermoPro TX-7B?
The ThermoPro TX-7B features a remote wireless range of up to 1000 feet. Powered by clean 915MHz RF connectivity and internal Swiss-made Sensirion technology, it maintains stable wireless communication through heavy walls, floor systems, and standard residential barriers.
How do I change the transmission channel on the TX-7B outdoor sensor?
To change the monitoring channel on your ThermoPro TX-7B outdoor sensor, simply open the battery compartment door and slide the Channel Selector switch. You can switch between Channel 1, 2, and 3 to accurately monitor up to 4 locations across your home ecosystem.
Is the ThermoPro TX-7B sensor completely waterproof or rainproof?
The ThermoPro TX-7B features a specialized rainproof exterior casing design. While it seamlessly withstands direct rain, downpours, and high moisture, it should not be fully submerged under deep water or placed where water pools permanently for optimal long-term functionality.
What type of batteries does the TX-7B require, and are they included?
The ThermoPro TX-7B additional outdoor sensor runs on 2 standard AAA battery cells. For immediate out-of-the-box convenience, 2 high-quality AAA batteries are included within the retail package, alongside its flexible tabletop and wall-mounted base hardware panels.
