The REMI RQV-400 Plus is a premium vertical deep freezer engineered for highly reliable, long-term preservation of critical materials in biotech, life science, medical, and pharmaceutical environments. This 400 Litre capacity upright model is specifically designed with a small footprint, making it highly suitable for professional laboratories and clinical research settings. The unit is capable of maintaining temperatures down to a minimum of -20°C. It is offered in standard and GMP versions.
Advanced LCD Microprocessor Control:
This model features a state-of-the-art microprocessor controller paired with an attractive 4-inch LCD display, offering superior control and monitoring capabilities.
• Intelligent Operation: The Intelligent Controller provides critical stability by helping to maintain the temperature even if a sensor failure occurs.
• Calibration and Diagnostics: The system ensures accuracy through Automatic Calibration and includes Self-Diagnosis for errors.
• Safety Backup: A fully charged Battery Backup is included for the temperature controller, designed to run for more than eight hours in the event of a main power failure.
Data Acquisition and 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance
Built for regulated environments, the RQV-400 Plus offers extensive data logging and security features compliant with stringent USFDA guidelines:
• Secure Data: Features include a secured audit trail report and an electronic signature function. Security is further enhanced with multiple level alpha-numerical password protection and password ageing.
• Record Keeping: The internal memory has storage capacity for up to 1000 records.
• Monitoring and Reporting: A histogram format provides a visual of the previous 24 hours of temperature recording. Power failure and resumption events are automatically recorded with date and time.
• Connectivity: The freezer supports PC communication via RS-485 and includes an optional data acquisition software (Remi Datasoft) that complies with 21 CFR part 11 guidelines. A Centronic interface allows a Dot Matrix printer to record Temperature, Date, and Time with an adjustable print interval.
Construction and Safety Features:
The freezer’s robust upright construction prioritizes thermal integrity and sample security:
• Temperature Integrity: Insulation consists of machine-filled CFC-free Polyurethane Foam (PUF), utilizing a minimum thickness of 70 mm for the body and 80 mm for the door to eliminate void pockets. A unique thermal barrier design further contributes to better energy efficiency.
• Alarms: Comprehensive safety alarms include alerts for settable high/low temperature limits (recorded with date and time), sensor failure, electrical circuit breaker status, and an Audio Alarm in case the door is open for over one minute.
• Refrigeration System: It utilizes a hermetically sealed compressor with CFC-free refrigerant, protected by an overload cut-off relay and a time delay for compressor switch-on.
• Interior Design: The internal chamber features rounded inner corners for easy cleaning and houses 4 adjustable trays for optimized storage. Each tray has a weight carrying capacity of 30 Kg (uniformly distributed).
• Materials: Standard models feature an Internal Body Material of Stainless Steel-304 Grade and an External Body Material of Powder Coated CRCA Steel.
